KiwireDocumentation

Guest Wi-Fi, captive portals and RADIUS — how to run the platform, what every setting means, and how to build on it.

Start here

New to Kiwire, or handed a tenant someone else set up, read these in order:

  1. Signing in — including why your menu is not the same as your colleague's. Then the dashboard you land on.
  2. How Kiwire fits together — the six steps between a guest joining the SSID and getting online, and which part of the platform owns each.
  3. The menu, page by page — every item in the admin menu, what it is for, and what has to be true before it shows you anything.

Depending on what you are here to do

You areStart at
Running a venue on KiwireSigning in, then the menu tour
Setting a tenant up from scratchSetting up a site, then controllers and zones
Reading a report and unsure what a column meansThe report glossary
A guest is stuck on an error pagePortal error codes
Building something on top of KiwireChoosing an integration route
On site configuring a controllerConnecting a controller

Some pages are read out of the platform's own code — the menu tour from the admin menu, the permissions from the licence module map, and the supported controllers from the vendor list the controller form offers. They cannot fall behind the code, because they are read out of it.

These docs are served by the Kiwire instance you are reading them from, so they describe the version this instance is running.
